GLOBAL PRESTASI JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL ADVANCE TO THE OSN – PROVINCIAL STAGE
Inclusion and winning intthe Math and Science Olympiad is one of the academic goals of Global Prestasi Junior High School (GPJHS). To achieve this, GPJHS encourages its students to join competitions to test their knowledge and mettle against peers from other school. This year saw the GPJHS students participating in two competitions. The OSN (National Science Olympiad) is an annuall event, a mathematics and science competition in the national level that sees many students from various provinces in Indonesia competing for the National stage. Aldeo MalthaJunior and Muhammad Zulfan, both in grade 7 and 8, were the chosen to join OSN which was held on March 2017.
The boys advance to the Provincial Stage which will hold in 12-13 May 2017. Meanwhile, there was O2SN (National Student and Sport Olympiad) which compete the students in non-academic competition. GPJHS sent Nares and Adi, both in grade 8, to compete in swimming competition. Nares, who got the first place, advance to the Provincial Stage, the date which will be announce soon.
GPJHS also joined the FLS2N (National Student and Art Olympiad). Quintafila and Morie, both of them are grade 7, got the 3rd place in separate competition. Quintafila represent GPS in story telling competition, and Morie represent GPS in singing competition.
