Youth Environmental Summit (YES)

Greetings from junior high school of Global Prestasi School!

We bring you good news about the recently concluded Youth Environmental Summit (YES) 2018 which was held in Singapore from January 31 to February 04. All our grade 8A and 8B students were victorious, winning medals, despite being newcomers and disadvantaged by the introduction of new topics at the last minute and the reshuffling of presentation groups.

There were a total of 21 schools that participated in YES 2018, coming from countries such as Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines. There were nine schools from Indonesia, coming from Bekasi, Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, and Medan. A total of 400 students participated in this year’s YES, which is three times more than their total number of 150 delegates last year.
