The Grade 9 Game Design Camp 2026, conducted in collaboration with Codelamp Indonesia, gave students the opportunity to experience the exciting process of game development through a two-day workshop using Roblox Studio. Designed with a hands-on, project-based approach, the camp encouraged students to transform their ideas into interactive games while developing creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

During the first day, students were introduced to the fundamentals of game design and the Roblox Studio interface. They learned how to create playable characters, design platforms and obstacle courses, import assets, and add interactive features such as score counters, health bars, collectibles, and game menus. Throughout the sessions, students actively explored new tools and experimented with different game mechanics under the guidance of experienced instructors.

On the second day, students focused on completing their game projects by refining their level designs, customizing the visual appearance, and conducting playtesting to improve the overall gameplay experience. The workshop concluded with a Mini Showcase, where the best-performing students proudly presented their finished games, explained their design ideas, and demonstrated the features they had developed.

The Game Design Camp was an engaging learning experience that introduced students to the fundamentals of game development while strengthening their digital literacy and critical thinking. By the end of the programme, students had not only created their own playable games but also discovered the creativity and perseverance required to bring an idea to life.
