20 June 2024

A spirit of independence and creativity colored the Friday-Saturday Camping (PERJUSA) activities attended by all fifth-grade students of SD Global Prestasi on May 3-4, 2024. Carrying the theme "Realizing an Independent and Creative Young Generation", this activity was packed with fun and educational activities aimed at training adaptation, independence, and fostering leadership and a sense of community among students.

Under the guidance of their teacher mentors, students were invited to learn various basic scouting skills, such as setting up tents, cooking their own food, and participating in various team games and challenges. Setting up tents became the initial moment that tested their ability to cooperate and communicate well. A spirit of perseverance and unity was evident as they worked together to build tents that would be their homes for the next two days.

Life skills were also honed through cooking activities. Each group brought cooking utensils from home and worked together to prepare their own meals. This moment not only trained their independence in meeting their living needs but also fostered a sense of responsibility and unity within the group.

Creativity and courage were tested by the students at the talent show. On a simple stage, they showcased their various talents, from singing and dancing to playing musical instruments. Loud cheers and applause from their friends encouraged them to perform with full confidence.

The next day, the excitement continued with various team games and challenges that tested their teamwork and scouting skills. Deciphering messages in the form of codes, wood relays, and guessing gestures using semaphore flags were some examples of games that trained their agility, concentration, and ability to work together.

Drill training also became an important part of this event. With full enthusiasm and discipline, the students followed the instructions of the instructors to train their teamwork, punctuality, and obedience to the rules.

The culmination of the PERJUSA event was closed with a closing ceremony and the awarding of Special Skill Badges (TKK) to students who had shown their achievements and were able to master several scouting skills, including TKK Camping and TKK Chef.

More than just a fun activity, PERJUSA SD Global Prestasi provided many valuable lessons for the students. They learned about the meaning of independence, the importance of teamwork, and the values of discipline in life. This experience is expected to be a provision for them to continue to develop into a generation of young people with character, creativity, and are ready to face various challenges in the future.
