The Festival of Art of Global Prestasi School, better known as FORTALS, is one of the biggest and most important events for the entire community of Yayasan Harapan Global Mandiri. In its 15th year, we were entrusted with the responsibility of leading and uniting diverse perspectives and characters through the organizing committee of FORTALS 2025.
In a year filled with gratitude as well as challenges, the committee of FORTALS Luminara 2025 adopted the theme “Enchanted Forest” with the tagline “Light the Way, Let the Music Play!”. This theme is visualized through a rabbit lost in a dark forest, symbolizing the lives of Global Prestasi School students who are constantly navigating through their packed academic and non-academic activities. FORTALS serves as a sweet escape and a source of light for the committee, Global Prestasi High School students, teachers, and many others. Beginning with a story of doubt, walking through both joys and struggles, and ending in a touching and heartfelt finale—this is the journey of FORTALS Luminara 2025.
Preparations began in October 2025. Forming the committee was one of the most challenging parts, as there were many expectations, opinions, and hopes from different parties about FORTALS. This often gave the impression that being part of the committee was a heavy burden filled with pressure. However, reality proved otherwise. Through various programs—such as the Basketball Tournament at FORTAFEST (FORTALS Festival) held in February 2025, and the EDUFAIR (Education Fair)—we successfully garnered tremendous enthusiasm from Global Prestasi School students in both Bekasi and Bandung, as well as alumni, teachers, and parents.
Despite the many obstacles, the FORTALS 2025 family continued to move forward. Amid tight study schedules and school activities, the committee worked hand in hand to design the event concept, finalize the theme, select performers, and manage other technical aspects. One of the key values embraced in this committee was Core Teamwork. A guiding quote from philosophy became our foundation: “Cogito ergo sum” — everyone who takes part certainly matters in the continuity of the event.
The grand night finally arrived on August 30, 2025. FORTALS 2025 ran smoothly, filled with joy, laughter, warmth, and unforgettable memories for both the committee and participants. This year, FORTALS 2025 proudly featured Project POP and HIVI! as the special closing guest stars.
On behalf of the entire FORTALS Luminara 2025 committee, we would like to extend our gratitude to the FORTALS community, representatives of the foundation, teachers, parents, and staff of Yayasan Harapan Global Mandiri. Competing against talented young singers from different countries, Rhania impressed the panel of judges with her expressive performance, outstanding vocal technique, and confident stage presence. Her victory has earned her the opportunity to represent the competition once again at the International Solo Singing Competition, which will take place in Poland in December 2026.
The journey began when Keisha, Lala, and Safira participated in the World Scholar's Cup (WSC) Jakarta Regional Round (Senior Division), held at Gandhi Memorial Intercontinental School and Ciputra Artpreneur from May 2–4, 2026. In this competition, they won a total of 11 medals, including Gold and Silver medals in Individual Debate, Gold and Silver medals in Individual Writing, a Gold medal in Scholar's Bowl, and a Silver medal in Team Debate.
