Campus Immersion 2025: From High School to Higher Education — Embracing the Journey

23 December 2025

A school holds a great responsibility for the development of its students, both academically and non-academically. The learning program at the high school level should not only aim to produce learners who are academically ready but also individuals who are prepared to face the challenges of their next stage in life.

Global Prestasi Senior High School is strongly committed to guiding its students in preparing for higher education. The Campus Immersion program is specifically designed for Grade 12 students with the main goal of providing them with first-hand learning experiences in a real university environment, broadening their perspectives about university life.

This year, the Campus Immersion is held under the theme “From High School to Higher Education: Embracing the Journey.”
The theme represents the purpose of helping students understand and prepare for the transition from high school to university life — academically, socially, and personally. It emphasizes the spirit of adaptability, readiness, and enthusiasm in facing the next level of education.

In 2025, Global Prestasi Senior High School had the opportunity to conduct Campus Immersion activities at Universitas Indonesia (UI), Universitas Bunda Mulia (UBM), Bina Nusantara University (Binus), and Swiss German University (SGU).

🏫 Day One: Universitas Indonesia

The first day began with a visit to Universitas Indonesia (UI).
Students of Global Prestasi Senior High School were warmly welcomed by the team from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) UI. On this occasion, they attended a seminar and interactive discussion guided by the Public Relations team of FISIP UI.

The short seminar was an invaluable experience as the materials presented were engaging and interactive. Students learned about the various faculties at Universitas Indonesia, admission requirements for each faculty, and tips on how to choose a major that matches their interests and potential.

The students’ enthusiasm was evident throughout the session. Besides attending the seminar, they also had the opportunity to join a campus tour and explore several facilities available within the UI campus area.

🏫 Day Two and Three: Sit-In Experience at Various Universities

On the second and third days, students had the opportunity to experience university life directly through Sit-In activities at different universities.
During this activity, students were divided into three groups based on their interest areas and preferred majors.

  • Group 1: Bina Nusantara University (Binus)

  • Group 2: Universitas Bunda Mulia (UBM)

  • Group 3: Swiss German University (SGU)

This activity offered a unique learning concept. Instead of merely attending campus tours or seminars, students were able to truly experience life as university students for two full days.

At Binus University, students could choose to attend classes in various programs such as International Business Management, Computer Science, Fashion Design, Animation, and others.

Meanwhile, at Universitas Bunda Mulia (UBM), those interested in Hospitality, Psychology, Accounting, Communication Studies, Digital Business, and Data Science participated in related lectures.
Students who joined the Sit-In at Swiss German University (SGU) could experience classes in Mechatronics, Entrepreneurship & Business Development, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, and other fascinating fields.

Throughout the program, students played the role of real university students — following regular class schedules, actively participating in discussions, interacting with lecturers and peers, and managing their time between classes.

Through this authentic and contextual experience, students gained real insights into university life and built a sense of readiness for higher education.

Campus Immersion 2025 stands as a concrete step by Global Prestasi Senior High School in preparing a generation that is adaptive, globally minded, and ready to embark on a new journey in higher education.
