From Challenges to Growth: Character Building Activities at Villa Bukit Pinus

17 May 2024

From April 17th to 19th, 2024, the 5th-grade students of Global Prestasi School embarked on a profound and valuable experience at Villa Bukit Pinus, Bogor. A three-day journey aimed at training and building their character, taking them through a series of activities that stimulate independence, creativity, teamwork, and communication skills.

This activity was not just an ordinary recreational trip but a serious effort to train students to become better individuals, more prepared to face the challenges of the real world, and more resilient in handling various situations. With a comprehensive approach, they were invited to expand their boundaries and explore potentials they may not have realized.

One key element of this activity was outdoor games conducted as a team. Amidst the beautiful nature, students were encouraged to collaborate, plan strategies, and overcome challenges together. In an atmosphere of enthusiasm and joy, they learned to appreciate each other's roles and understand the importance of cooperation in achieving common goals.

Moreover, team creativity performance also became an integral part of this experience. Students were given the opportunity to express their ideas through art and performances, showcasing their talents collectively. It was not just about the end result but also about the collaborative process that strengthened the bond among students and fostered self-confidence.

Additionally, survival games provided challenges where they learned to set up emergency tents using ropes and cloth. Furthermore, they were trained to enhance their skills in cooking simple menus, and the fun part was that the accompanying teachers acted as the judges.

The event concluded with the peak of joy, a barbecue party together. In the relaxed and friendly atmosphere, students could unwind, joke around, and share stories about their experiences during the activity. It became a precious moment that strengthened the bond of brotherhood among them and solidified the results of the character journey they embarked on together.

Overall, this Character Building activity not only provided unforgettable experiences for the 5th-grade students of Global Prestasi School but also laid a strong foundation in shaping their character. Through a series of varied and directed activities, they were assisted in becoming independent, creative individuals capable of working in teams and possessing good communication skills.
