First Day Activities in Melbourne
Sunday, 26 February 2023
On this day, we had the privilege of immersing ourselves in the vibrant culture and rich history of Melbourne. As students, we were introduced to the beautiful environment around our co-living space at Together Co-Living, Preston. One of the highlights of our day was visiting the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI), which gave us a deep understanding of the history of filmmaking in Melbourne. ACMI's commitment to acknowledging the Traditional Owners, the Wurundjeri and Boon Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation, was truly inspiring. We learned to pay our respects to past and present Elders and extend our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people from all nations of this land. Our experience at ACMI was extraordinary, and we were grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow from this experience. Along with other bustling points of interest around the city, Melbourne has truly captured our hearts and left us in awe of its beauty.

Second Day Activities in Melbourne

Day two of our Melbourne immersion experience was packed with exciting activities and valuable learnings. We started the day by exploring the beautiful Melbourne Polytechnic, Preston Campus, where we got to experience what it's like to be a student there. We were fortunate enough to meet with some students who gave us insights into their daily lives, and we also attended some fascinating lectures. One of the highlights of our day was learning how to be a skilled tender and barista. We were given the opportunity to make mocktails, coffee, and hot chocolate while being guided by expert lecturers.
The experience was hands-on and truly unforgettable. It was amazing to see how much effort and detail go into creating a perfect drink. We had so much fun trying out new techniques and practicing our skills, and we're grateful for this opportunity to learn from some of the best in the industry.

Third Day Activities in Melbourne

Day 3 of our Melbourne immersion took us to the breathtaking Phillip Island where we got up close and personal with some of Australia's most iconic animals at Maru Koala Animal Park. We cuddled with cute and cuddly Koalas, fed Kangaroos, and marveled at the diversity of endemic wildlife. And just when we thought the day couldn't get any sweeter, we headed to the Phillip Island Chocolate Factory to witness the art of chocolate-making and indulged in an array of delicious chocolate treats.

Fourth Day Activities in Melbourne

On day 4 of our Melbourne immersion, we had an amazing opportunity to get a taste of university life at Deakin University! Thanks to PPIA Deakin University, we were given an exclusive campus tour led by the Indonesia Student Association, where we got to explore the state-of-the-art facilities and learn about the university's diverse range of courses. We also had the privilege of joining a study course sharing session and learning workshop with local students, which was a great chance for us to exchange ideas and gain valuable insights. It was an unforgettable experience that truly broadened our horizons!

Fifth Day Activities in Melbourne

Day 5 of our Melbourne immersion was all about getting a taste of the academic world at two of the city's most prestigious institutions! We kicked off the day with a visit to Trinity College, where we got to experience university life first-hand with a campus tour led by a knowledgeable lecturer. We also had the opportunity to sit in on a sample English lecture about metaphor, which was both fascinating and thought-provoking.
We then headed over to the University of Melbourne, where we had another insightful campus tour and a great sharing session with PPIA University of Melbourne. It was an amazing day of learning and discovery, and we're so grateful for the opportunity to have these incredible experiences!

Sixth Day Activities in Melbourne

On day 6 of our Melbourne immersion, we had the privilege of visiting two more esteemed universities in the city - Victoria University and Swinburne University. At Victoria University, we were blown away by the breadth of facilities on offer, from state-of-the-art labs to cutting-edge research centers. We were especially intrigued by the Bachelor of Dermal Science program, which opened our eyes to a whole new world of possibilities. Over at Swinburne University, we had another informative campus tour with PPIA Swinburne University and got to explore the campus in depth. We also had an engaging sharing session with PPIA Swinburne University, where we learned about student life at the university and gained some valuable insights into the local culture. It was a day filled with wonder and discovery, and we're so grateful for the opportunity to have these incredible experiences!

Seventh Day Activities in Melbourne

On the seventh day of our Melbourne immersion, we had a blast exploring some of the city's most iconic attractions! We started off with a visit to the bustling Queen Victoria Market, where we shopped for gifts and souvenirs to take back to Indonesia. Then we headed over to Luna Park, where we spent the afternoon riding roller coasters, playing carnival games, and soaking up the festive atmosphere. And to cap off an amazing day, we took a scenic drive to Brighton Beach, where we soaked up the stunning natural beauty and enjoyed the crystal-clear waters of the beach. It was an unforgettable day of adventure and fun, and we'll cherish these memories forever!

On this bittersweet Sunday, it's time for us to say goodbye to Melbourne and head back home to Indonesia. Our incredible immersion experience has come to an end, but the memories we've made and the lessons we've learned will stay with us forever. We're so grateful to have had the opportunity to explore this amazing city, immerse ourselves in its rich culture and make lifelong friends. And as we prepare to depart, we're comforted by the thought of reuniting with our loved ones back home. Thank you, Melbourne, for an unforgettable experience - we'll be back!

In Buntu village, Wonosobo, Central Java, all 10th-grade students from SMA GPS Bekasi, collaborating for the first time with GPS Dago, Bandung, were given the opportunity to learn together various life skills that would become their assets in their future lives, from March 3rd to 8th, 2024.
The Career Camp 2024 event invited 11th-grade students to proactively pursue their dreams. Rather than waiting for opportunities behind closed doors, students were encouraged to learn how to construct and open their own doors of opportunity, thereby making their desired goals a reality.
an awe-inspiring event unfolded at SD Global Prestasi as the students of the grade IV took the stage in a remarkable musical drama inspired by the film "Over the Moon."
